"It's fun to smoke Marijuana"

Did you know that when you play backwards the refrain of Queen's song Another One Bites the Dust you can hear "It's fun to smoke Marijuana" ?
Well, with a bit of imagination, this sure can sound like this.

Quite funny, don't you think ? Well, some fundamentalist Christian groups declared in the late '70s that this song and other ones contained satanists backward-recorded messages (for instance, Led Zeppelin's Stairway to Heaven was alleged to contain the message Here's to my sweet Satan). The technique to hide a message in a song is called Backmasking, you can check out the related article on Wikipedia.

Dj Lobsterdust found a recording of Pastor Gary Greenwald's "Solemn warning to all young people who listen Rock'n'Roll and Heavy Metal music" and mixed it up with Another One Bites the Dust... and the result is quite interesting !

TIME Person of the Year 2008

Quite expectingly, Barack Obama has been named Person of the Year 2008 by TIME Magazine. However, I was more than happy to discover that Tina Fey made the front page of the 10 People Who Mattered 2008 list (at least in the magazine, on the website these people were sorted alphabetically), one page corner before John McCain and Hillary Clinton. Can comedy still compete with politics ? Actually, she proved that comedy could do politics... even if no one knows exactly what were the effects of her hilarious impressions of Gov. Sarah Palin on the results of the election.

Finally, as told in TIME, this woman made smart sexy and nerdy cool, and I cannot be thankful enough for that ;). So, feel free to watch 30 Rock, which would be, no doubt about it, TIME Sitcom of the Year 2008 if it ever existed.

Starting over...

Most of you maybe thought that this blog was completely dead, after several months of slow agony... but today Drenilium's Blog is taking a completely new step in its (I hope so) long life !

New start means new stuff, actually I would not blog today like I blogged two or three years ago.
